PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

IYS UNIVERSAL AST 2K-570 is a two-component, solvent-free primer material. It is specifically designed to enhance adhesion on damp or wet concrete surfaces. It cures quickly and contains no toxic substances.

APPLICATION AREAS

  • Metal, galvanized metal, aluminum, marble
  • Strengthening adhesion between layers in applications of other products
  • Asphalt and asphalt-based membranes
  • Non-polyurethane-based systems such as acrylic paints

APPLICATION

  • The surface should be cleaned using high-pressure water if possible, removing oil, grease, fuel, and paraffin residues. It should also be completely free from mold release agents, cement residues, shavings, loose particles, and cured membranes.
  • Surface imperfections and cracks should be filled using sandblasted IYS UNIVERSAL PRIMER-2K-4060.

MIXING

  • Mix the two components thoroughly. To extend the pot life in hot weather, pour the mixture into a wide, shallow container.

THINNING

  • Only use ELAPUR SOLVENT for thinning, and apply only in well-ventilated areas or outdoors.
  • Do not thin the material when applying on damp, wet, or moist surfaces.
  • To extend the pot life and/or reduce consumption, thin the mixture by 5-10%.
  • For applications on non-porous dry concrete, use a higher thinning ratio.

APPLICATION

  • Apply with a brush or roller.

CLEANING

  • After cleaning tools and equipment with paper towels, wipe them with ELAPUR SOLVENT. Rollers cannot be reused.

SHELF LIFE

  • The product can be stored for a minimum of 12 months in unopened original containers in dry environments at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C. Once opened, the material should be used as soon as possible.
