PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

IYS PROOF 2K Y is a high-quality elastomeric polyurethane resin-based two-component thixotropic coating material. It is solvent-free and forms a hydrophobic, elastic, and strong membrane after polymerization. It is especially recommended for water tank waterproofing. IYS PROOF 2K Y also provides seamless and cohesive coating on surfaces with details such as chimneys, antennas, or pipes.

The consumption rate is 0.7 kg/m² per coat, applied in two coats with a roller. For tank floors, a single coat with a consumption of 1.4 kg/m² is sufficient. When the surfaces of tanks are exposed to direct sunlight, the color of the material may fade. However, this is purely an aesthetic issue and does not affect its waterproofing and protective performance in any way.

CLEANING

Clean tools and equipment first with paper towels, then wipe with ELAPUR SOLVENT. Rollers cannot be reused.

APPLICATION DETAILS

For concrete tank application:

Clean the surface using high-pressure water if possible, removing oil, grease, fuel, and paraffin residues. The surface should also be free of mold release agents, cement residues, shavings, loose particles, and cured membranes. For tanks made of materials other than concrete, please contact our technical department.

Mixing:

Mix the two components using a mixer operating at low speed (300 rpm).

Application:

Apply two coats with a roller. The consumption rate is 0.7 kg/m² per coat. For tank floors, one coat with a consumption rate of 1.4 kg/m² is sufficient. For information regarding airless spraying, please contact our technical department.

PACKAGING

24 kg (Component A: 20 kg, Component B: 4 kg)

SHELF LIFE

The product can be stored in unopened original containers in dry environments at temperatures between 5°C and 25°C for a minimum of 12 months. Once opened, the material should be used as soon as possible.
