MIXING
IYS POX 040 is produced in ready-to-use sets according to the mixing ratios. Before application, the material temperature should be at least +15°C. Component A should be mixed with a mechanical mixer at 300-400 rpm using the appropriate mixing blade. Then, Component B (hardener) should be added and mixing should continue. Both components should be thoroughly mixed, ensuring the edges and bottom of the mixing container are well blended. Otherwise, unmixed A or B components may form a soft sticky film on the surface, causing incorrect application. A crucial point is that the mixer blade must touch the bottom of the container to minimize air intake and provide a healthier, problem-free surface. After mixing, transfer the mixture to another clean container and mix for 2-3 more minutes. Do not prepare more material than can be used within the mixture’s lifespan.
APPLICATION METHODS
IYS POX 040 should be applied with a roller or trowel. After starting the application, it is recommended to texture the surface using a spiked roller.
CONSUMPTION
IYS POX 040 has an average consumption of approximately 400-500 g/m² (200-225 µ dry film thickness), depending on surface roughness. Consumption may vary depending on the system chosen. For further information, you can consult the ELAPUR Technical Department.
