Product Description
ADVANTAGES
- Resistant to chemicals
- High abrasion resistance
- Forms a hard film
- Solvent-free
- High mechanical strength
- Does not harbor bacteria
PRE-APPLICATION PREPARATION
- New Concrete and Cement Plaster: The concrete must have a C25 type or minimum 350 dose, and the plaster must be cured for at least 21 days. The concrete’s bond strength must be a minimum of 1.5 N/mm², and the surface temperature must be at least +10°C. The surface temperature should be maintained at least +3°C above the dew point, preferably at a minimum of +8°C.
- Old Concrete and Cement Surfaces: Loose particles such as old paint, dirt, dust, etc., should be removed by sandblasting, scraping, or brushing. Oil and grease residues should be cleaned with detergent water. If neutralization is necessary, the surface should be wiped with a 3-4% hydrochloric acid or acetic acid solution and rinsed with water. The surface should be dried using an industrial vacuum machine. Ensure that the surface is completely dry before applying the primer. For very smooth, high cement content concrete, mosaic, and tile surfaces, light sanding or acid treatment is recommended to roughen the surface.
MIXING
IYS POX 030 is produced in ready-to-use sets according to the mixing ratios. Before application, ensure that the material temperatures are at a minimum of +15°C. Component A should be mixed with an industrial mixer at 300-400 rpm with the appropriate mixing blade, and then Component B (Hardener) should be added and mixing should continue. The edges and bottom of the mixing container should be well mixed to ensure the mixture is homogeneous. Failure to do so may cause unmixed components to create a soft, sticky film on the surface, leading to incorrect application. The key is ensuring that the mixing blade touches the bottom of the container to minimize air intake and ensure a smooth, problem-free surface. The mixture should be transferred to a clean container and mixed for an additional 2-3 minutes.
CONSUMPTION
IYS POX 030 has an average consumption of approximately 1.3 kg/m² at a thickness of 1 mm (depending on surface roughness). Consumption may vary depending on the system chosen. For more information, you can consult the ELAPUR Technical Department.
INTERCOAT DRYING TIME
