PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

IYS FLOOR SL is a two-component, polyurethane-based, self-leveling, solvent-free floor coating. It cures through a chemical reaction to form a medium-hard, abrasion-resistant, monolithic coating that does not require joints. It is easy to clean and maintain and, due to its elastomeric structure, provides crack bridging.

APPLICATION

  • After ensuring that components A and B are thoroughly mixed, IYS FLOOR SL is poured onto the prepared surface in the appropriate amount and spread with a notched trowel to the desired thickness.
  • Within 5-10 minutes after spreading, a spiked roller should be applied to release trapped air from the material.
  • The spiked roller application should continue until all air is released. The roller application should be stopped once the material begins to lose its fluidity to prevent roller marks on the surface.

SURFACE PROTECTION

  • When exposed to direct sunlight, IYS FLOOR SL may experience slight yellowing; however, its mechanical properties remain unchanged.
  • To increase UV resistance, aliphatic two-component UV-resistant, chemically resistant, and highly abrasion-resistant IYS FLOOR SL topcoats can be applied.

MIXING

  • IYS FLOOR SL should be mixed according to the specified ratios. The homogeneous mixing of components A and B is crucial for maximum performance in two-component polyurethane systems.
  • First, mix component A to ensure it is homogeneous. Then, add component B and mix with a 200-300 rpm mixer for a minimum of 3-4 minutes.
  • Be sure to scrape the edges and bottom of the container with the mixer blades and spatula to ensure thorough mixing.
  • Afterward, add the pre-measured, specially dried silica sand to the mixture and continue mixing for an additional 3 minutes.
  • After mixing, wait 2 minutes before applying the mixture to the surface.

    • Component A: 20 kg tin
    • Component B: 5 kg tin

STORAGE CONDITIONS

  • Store in a dry environment, protected from freezing, between +5°C and +30°C, in its original packaging.
  • Do not stack more than three pallets; avoid stacking pallets for long-term storage.
  • If stored under appropriate conditions, the product can be kept for up to 12 months from the production date.
