Product Description
APPLICATION AREAS
- Local repairs on concrete, cement plaster, asbestos/cement, and metal surfaces,
- Resolving osmosis issues on sheet metal, wood, and particularly fiberglass boats,
- Repairing cracks and damaged areas in the substructure before self-leveling applications,
- Cooling towers and underground metal and concrete pipelines in power plants,
- Pipe joint areas,
- Restoration of historical buildings.
PRE-APPLICATION PREPARATION
- Ensure the surface is free from any dirt or contaminants that may hinder adhesion.
- Confirm the substrate is dry.
- Take necessary precautions to prevent water infiltration.
- The surface temperature must be between +5°C and +30°C.
- Slowly add Component B of EPOXAN 500 into Component A while mixing with a 300 rpm mixer.
- Continue mixing for approximately 4 minutes until a homogeneous mixture is achieved.
CONSUMPTION
- 1.65 kg/m² for a thickness of 1 mm.
APPLICATION METHOD
- EPOXAN 500 can be applied using a spatula, trowel, or filling cartridge gun.
- For pre-prepared holes, fill from the bottom up.
- Slowly rotate the anchoring rod of the specified dimensions into the filled hole until material is observed seeping out.
- For anchoring details such as hole diameter, rebar size, and consumption, consulting the ELAPUR Technical Department is recommended.
RECOMMENDATIONS AND WARNINGS
- For optimal results, ensure the ambient temperature is between +5°C and +30°C, and take precautions against adverse weather conditions.
- The material’s performance temperature ranges from -15°C to +90°C.
- Do not attempt to reuse hardened material by adding water or similar substances.
- After proper application, the next layer can typically be applied within 40 minutes.
- To achieve the specified performance and technical values without variations in processing and open times, ensure application in optimal ambient and substrate temperatures with appropriate humidity levels.
- Prepare stored packages for application at an average temperature of 25°C.
- Clean used tools and equipment with cellulose thinner or suitable solvents after application.
PACKAGING
- 10 kg set:
- Component A: 5 kg tin
- Component B: 5 kg tin
STORAGE CONDITIONS
- Store in a dry environment, protected from freezing, between +5°C and +30°C, in original packaging.
- Stack no more than three pallets; avoid stacking pallets for extended storage periods.
- If stored under appropriate conditions, the product can be used for up to 18 months from the production date.
